Hello everyone! My name is Corrine Condon and I am a junior at the University of Rhode Island. I have a double major in Public Relations and Communications and a minor in Leadership Studies. I am 21 years old and have an older sister who has also attended URI. I have had diabetes since I was five years old. Last summer I worked at Clara Barton Camp, which is a diabetes camp. I have never appreciated my diabetes until spending an entire summer caring for children with the same disease I have. It has changes my life and has improved my health immensely. I love traveling and just recently went to New Orleans to service those whose houses suffered damage from Katrina. I intend on continuing to travel and expand my knowledge of the world around me.
As far as courses in writing, I have not had much experience in public writing or and courses here at URI until Public Writing 303. I feel this course is helping me to become a better writer overall. This course will also help me to improve my writing skills that will lead me to success in my major study classes, but also later in my career.
